The Division of Medical Oncology at The Ottawa Hospital / University of Ottawa is seeking medical oncologist to join a group of 26 academic physicians. There is the possibility of full time or part time appointments for the successful candidate(s).
The successful candidate(s) will function as an academic physician, and the bulk of their practice will involve the care of lung cancer patients and/or GI cancer patients, but will be discussed at time of appointment of the successful candidates.
Fluency in both official languages is not required but would be an asset.
Successful candidates must hold or be eligible for licensure in Ontario, and must have a Specialist Certificate in Medical Oncology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or be eligible for certification, and fulfil the requirements for appointment to The Ottawa Hospital and University of Ottawa. Preference will be given to Canadian citizens or landed immigrants. Candidates, in addition to being certified in medical oncology, should preferably have a higher degree (Masters, PhD), or a specialist fellowship training.
