The Division of Medical Oncology at The Ottawa Hospital / University of Ottawa is seeking a medical oncologist to replace a retiring medical oncologist in our group of 26 academic physicians.
The successful candidate will primarily function as an academic physician, and the bulk of their practice will involve the care of GI cancer patients. In order to enhance our overall group and program, the selection panel would look favourably on candidates with expertise in medical education.
Successful candidates must hold or be eligible for licensure in Ontario, and must have a Specialist Certificate in Medical Oncology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or be eligible for certification, and fulfil the requirements for appointment to The Ottawa Hospital and University of Ottawa. Preference will be given to Canadian citizens or landed immigrants. Candidates, in addition to being certified in medical oncology, should preferably have a higher degree in cancer research (Masters, PhD), or a specialist fellowship training.
