Horizon Health Network is seeking a full-time Medical Oncologist to join the Department of Oncology at Saint John Regional Hospital, the principal tertiary-care referral centre for southern New Brunswick and Atlantic Canada's leading centre for advanced care.

The Department of Oncology at the Saint John Regional Hospital is seeking an interested candidate to complete the complement of seven (7) Medical Oncologists, alongside seven Radiation Oncologists, four Hematologists and 3 Clinical Assistants. We are seeking a candidate with interest in treating gastrointestinal (GI) And genitourinary (GU) malignancies. Openness to incorporating the breast disease site would be considered an asset.

Who you are

Applicants must:

Hold an MD degree (or equivalent)
Royal College Certification in Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification in Medical Oncology or equivalent is required
Be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick
Proficiency in English is required.
Possess strong communication and teamwork skills
Good attendance and work record.
Physically able to perform assigned duties.
Be committed to teaching, quality assurance, and continuous professional development.

The physician must also meet continuing education requirements, adhere to departmental and health authority policies, comply with relevant legislation, and follow professional ethical standards set by regulatory bodies.

Qualifications & Renumeration

Applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia and must have obtained their Fellowship in Internal Medicine, along with a certificate of Special Competence in Medical Oncology from the RCPSC (or hold an equivalent qualification) by the time of appointment. Applicants must meet the requirements of credentialing by the Medical Advisory Committee of the BC Cancer.

Medical staff are eligible for clinical appointment with the Division of Medical Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia. Cancer Care Alberta in conjunction with the University of Calgary, are seeking a 1.0 FTE Medical Oncologist to start as soon as possible at the Margery E. Yuill Cancer Centre (MEYCC) in Medicine Hat, Alberta.

Qualifications and Position Requirements
Qualifications include an MD, certification in Internal Medicine, special competency in Medical Oncology (or equivalent), and eligibility for licensure in the Province of Alberta.

Medical Oncology practice at Margery E. Yuill Cancer Centre is disease site oriented. The successful candidates focus would be the care of patients affected by the more common malignancies, including lung, GI, GU and Breast cancers. The successful applicant will be expected to deliver excellent patient care and must have obtained Fellowship in Medical Oncology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada by the time of appointment.

This position is LMIA and Sponsorship eligible.

Cancer Care Alberta, Community Oncology, invites applications for a full-time Hematologist specializing in Hematology and Hematologic Malignancies. The successful candidate will become a member of a multidisciplinary cancer program located at the Central Alberta Cancer Centre in Red Deer, Alberta, and will join a team of Medical Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, Nurse Practitioners, and medical support staff serving the Central Zone.

Qualifications include an MD and FRCPC (or equivalent) with training in Hematology. Additional training in Malignant Hematology or a subspecialty within Malignant Hematology would be considered an asset.
