Choosing Wisely Canada is a national campaign to help clinicians and patients engage in conversations about unnecessary tests and treatments, and make smart and effective care choices. It maintains a list of low-value, unnecessary or harmful practices that should be avoided. Through the Choosing Wisely Canada campaign and the publication of this list, CAMO is helping physicians and patients engage in conversations about potentially unnecessary tests, treatments and procedures, and supporting physician efforts to help patients make smart and effective choices to ensure high-quality care. CAMO joined the campaign because its leadership recognizes that physicians have a professional, moral and ethical responsibility to take the lead in addressing these challenges.
