The successful applicant will become a member of a multidisciplinary cancer program located at the Central Alberta Cancer Centre (CACC) site in Red Deer, Alberta, and will join a team of Medical and Radiation Oncologists, Nurse Practitioners and medical support staff working in the Central Zone.
Qualifications include a MD, FRCPC or equivalent with training in Hematology. Additional training in Malignant Hematology or a Malignant Hematology subspecialty would be an asset. The Cancer Care Program of Eastern Health Eastern invites expressions of interest for a locum Medical Oncologist at the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre at the Health Sciences Center for the period of July 1 to October 31, 2022. The successful candidate will join nine other Medical Oncologists as a full time clinical equivalent and will be responsible for treating a variety of malignancies, inpatient and outpatient clinical consultation service, as well as on-call service. On-call coverage will consist of 4 weeks (one week per month) throughout the locum. Candidate will also be expected to participate in relevant peer review and multidisciplinary tumour boards. To be considered candidates must hold a Medical Degree, an FRCPC in Medical Oncology or equivalent, and be eligible for licensure in the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador.
