    The Department of Medicine and the Division of Medical Oncology at the University of Ottawa and The Ottawa Hospital is looking for a locum academic Medical Oncologist to join a group of 28 academic physicians.

    Qualifications:
    The successful candidate must hold an MD degree; be a member of, or be eligible to be a member of, the Canadian Medical Protective Association; have, or be eligible for certification in Medical Oncology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and have, or be eligible for, licensure in Ontario.

    The University of Ottawa and The Ottawa Hospital are bilingual institutions and therefore in the case of potentially successful candidates of equal ability, a bilingual (French/English) candidate would be preferred.

    The Hudson Regional Cancer Centre (HRCC) is seeking a full time Medical Oncologist starting spring/summer 2025, or as negotiated.

    The Position
    We are seeking a Medical Oncologist to join our progressive team of 9 Medical Oncologists, 10 Radiation Oncologists and a comprehensive interdisciplinary team of cancer care professionals committed to delivering exceptional care to the residents of Simcoe Muskoka. Compensation will be provided by the Provincial Oncology Alternate Funding Plan (POAFP). Expertise in gynecologic oncology would be an asset, but not required.

    Qualifications

    • Ontario Medical License and current certificate with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ontario
    • A Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada with certification in Medical Oncology and /or Internal Medicine providing Oncology Services
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
    • Demonstrated ability to facilitate teamwork, collaboration, and partnerships

    The BC Cancer Research Institute, the research arm of BC Cancer, a provincial cancer care organization based in beautiful and scenic British Columbia, invites applications for a new research chair in Medical Oncology Research.

    This endowed chair is dedicated to advancing the field of medical oncology research, to improve the methods, effectiveness, or applications of medical oncology to treat cancer.

    We seek a visionary clinician scientist/clinician researcher, with a proven track record of academic excellence to lead an innovative research program in medical oncology. The position is targeted at Associate or Professor level (clinical or academic), provided that applicants have a demonstrated track record of clinical or translational research achievements in the field of medical oncology. Applicants should have an MD or MD/PhD and be eligible for licensure for clinical practice in the Province of British Columbia and clinical privileges at BC Cancer.

    The Saskatchewan Cancer Agency provides leadership in health promotion, early detection, treatment and research for cancer. The Cancer Agency operates two treatment centres: the Allan Blair Cancer Centre in Regina and the Saskatoon Cancer Centre. 

    Practice Locations:
    Allan Blair Cancer Centre, 4101 Dewdney Ave, Regina, Saskatchewan Canada S4T 7T1 OR Saskatoon Cancer Centre, 20 Campus Drive, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Canada S7N 4H4.

    Job Duties:
    Our medical oncologists provide care as members of teams, which include nurses, pharmacists, radiation therapists, oncologists, surgeons, social workers, volunteers and palliative care staff. Cancer care is extended to surrounding communities through the Community Oncology Program of Saskatchewan. Participation on clinical trials in collaboration with cooperative groups and industry is a major focus of activity for our oncologists. They are members of cooperative clinical trial groups as Alliance, NCIC CTG, and NRG. Our oncologists are also involved in teaching medical students and residents.

    Cancer Care Alberta, with Alberta Health Services is accepting applications for a full-time Hematologist position with expertise/training in management of lymphoma and myeloma to start as soon as possible.

    Qualifications include an MD, certification in Internal Medicine, special competency in Medical Oncology/ Hematology (or equivalent), additional specialized training and experience in Malignant Hematology and eligibility for licensure in the Province of Alberta. Candidates should have additional specialized training in the area of malignant lymphoid disease, as well as training and experience with cell therapy (BMT and CarT).
