    REQUIREMENTS
    :

    • Diploma from an approved school of medicine supplemented by post-graduate study in the area of specialization (Oncology) ;
    • Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certificate (FRCPC);
    • Eligible for a licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New-Brunswick;
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
    • Physical ability to perform the assigned work;
    • Good work history (performance and attendance);
    • Adherence to professional ethical principles, the Network’s management philosophy, and organizational values;
    • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality set by Vitalité Health Network;
    • Written and spoken competence in English and French is required.


    RECRUITMENT INCENTIVES
    :
    This position is eligible for a recruitment incentive of $50,000, offered by the Department of Health. Recruitment incentive offers are conditional on the reception of an employment offer from one of the Regional Health Authorities and are subject to approval from the Department of Health. Physicians will be required to sign a Return-of-Service agreement and practice in the province for two (2) consecutive years.

    The successful candidate is also eligible to receive an allowance for moving related expenses.

    The Department of Oncology, Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary in conjunction with Cancer Care, Alberta Health Services, invite applications for a full-time clinician/clinician scientist within the discipline of Medical Oncology at the Clinical Assistant Professor level or higher. The successful applicant will become a member of a multidisciplinary cancer program located at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre and the Foothills Hospital site of the Calgary Zone and will join a team of 26 Medical Oncologists.

    You must have an MD degree and Canadian specialist certification in Medical Oncology, or the equivalent. You must be eligible for licensure as a specialist by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta and for appointment to the medical staff of AHS. Special training and/or a record of academic success in areas such as epidemiology, clinical trials, investigational new drug development, translational research and/or health services research would be desirable.

    The successful applicant will be expected to obtain an appointment within the Department of Oncology at the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary. Preference will be given to Canadian citizens or those with permanent resident status.

    The Department of Medical Oncology and Hematology, CancerCare Manitoba (CCMB), in conjunction with Shared Health; and, the Section of Hematology/Oncology, Department of Internal Medicine, Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba (U of M), are seeking applications for a Geographical Full-Time position of Medical Oncologist. Preference will be given to a candidate with specialized training and/or significant experience in managing breast cancer.

    Qualifications: Candidates must have specialty qualifications in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology in the country of current practice and must be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. Certification in Medical Oncology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada is preferred. Applicants with alternative qualifications may also be considered though this may affect eligibility for a University appointment.

    The Gerald Bronfman Department of Oncology, Division of Medical Oncology, McGill University and the Segal Cancer Centre at the Jewish General Hospital invite applications for a full-time position as a member of the Contract Academic Staff as a clinician-scientist at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor (rank to be determined based on the chosen candidate’s experience).

    Qualifications and Education requirements
    Candidates must hold an MD degree or equivalent, postgraduate clinical training in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology, with certification by the Collège des médecins du Québec or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent). A postgraduate degree (e.g. MSc or PhD) is an asset. The candidate must hold or be eligible for licensure to practice medicine from the Collège des médecins du Québec.  All candidates must be fluent in English with a working knowledge of French.

Seeking candidates who can provide medical staff leadership to the Division of Medical Oncology, supporting future growth and program development in collaboration with program leadership. 

    Qualifications

    BC Cancer Kelowna Department of Medical Oncology is a regional department serving BC’s beautiful Interior region. Medical oncologists work in the Regional Centre in Kelowna, one of six in BC.

    BC Cancer is looking for a full time or part time Medical Oncologist to join our experienced team of two Medical Oncologists and three General Practitioners in Oncology at the McMurtry-Baerg Cancer Centre in Vernon. The McMurtry-Baerg Cancer Centre is a fully staffed Community Oncology Network clinic housed in the Interior Health Authority’s Vernon Jubilee Hospital, a 186 bed Regional hospital offering on-site Radiology, Pathology, Surgery and Pharmacy services.  The Cancer Centre serves a network of local communities with a catchment area of approximately 90,000.  The Centre receives approximately 450 new consults and 6000 follow-ups a year, providing those patients a full range of IV and oral systemic therapies in a personalized practice environment.
