    Job Duties: BC Cancer is looking for a locum medical oncologist to work with us at the Vancouver Centre, which is internationally renowned for excellence in clinical care and research. The initial term will be six months beginning in early 2022 with the possibility of an extension. One of the primary sites for this locum will be GI.  BC Cancer medical oncologists provide care as members of teams, which include nurses and nurse practitioners, pharmacists, general practitioners in oncology, social workers, dieticians, and palliative care staff.

    The Departments of Medicine at St. Michael's Hospital and University of Toronto are seeking a qualified full-time academic medical oncologist. The successful candidate must be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor at the University of Toronto. The expected start date of the position is December 1, 2021, or shortly thereafter.

    BC Cancer is looking for a full time or part time Medical Oncologist to join our experienced team of two Medical Oncologists and three General Practitioners in Oncology at the McMurtry-Baerg Cancer Centre in Vernon.

    Eligible applicants have obtained Fellowship standing with the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine, and have obtained or are working towards a certificate of Special Competence in Medical Oncology.  Applicants must also be eligible for licensing with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of British Columbia and meet the requirements of credentialing by the Medical Advisory Committee of the BC Cancer.  In addition, applicants must be eligible for a clinical appointment in the Division of Medical Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia and for appointment to the Medical Staff at Vernon Jubilee Hospital.

    The McGill University Gerald Bronfman Department of Oncology, Division of Medical Oncology, invites applications for a full-time position as a clinician-teacher or clinician-scientist at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor (Clinical), located at the Jewish General Hospital (JGH). This faculty appointment will be part of the Contract Academic Staff and does not confer eligibility for tenure. The professorial rank will be according to the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

    Qualifications and Education Requirements

    • Candidates must hold an MD degree or equivalent, postgraduate clinical training in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology, with certification by the Collège des médecins du Québec or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent);

    The R.S. McLaughlin Durham Regional Cancer Centre (RSMDRCC) is seeking a permanent full-time Medical Oncologist to join the existing team of 11 medical oncologists and 6 hematologists. 

    RSMDRCC is a well-integrated highly regarded cancer centre in Ontario and provides comprehensive multidisciplinary cancer management to a population of approximately 1.6 million people. Our disease sites include gastrointestinal, lung, breast, gynecological, skin and genitourinary cancers, with plans for additional sites in the future. Our hematologists provide care for all hematological malignancies as well as benign diagnoses. In addition to the well-established medical oncology program, we also have a strong radiation program with 11 radiation oncologists providing SBRT, SRS external-beam radiotherapy, and brachytherapy. Our Centre hosts the Central East Thoracic surgical oncology program, and is a Gynecology Oncology Centre.

    The successful applicant must be eligible for licensing as a specialist in Ontario and have Canadian Certification in Medical Oncology at the time of appointment. Start time is flexible, between Jan 2022 and July 2022.

    The Canadian Cancer Trials Group (CCTG) is a cooperative oncology group that designs and administers clinical trials in cancer therapy, supportive care, and prevention across Canada and internationally. We support a collaborative network of researchers, physicians, scientists, and statisticians internationally recognized for finding the treatments that give people with cancer longer, better quality lives. 

    POSITION DESCRIPTION
    We are seeking an outstanding and visionary cancer trialist for the position of Senior Investigator (SI). Expertise in cancer clinical trial methods and conduct is required. Interest in investigational new drug trials, thoracic, gynecological, or genitourinary cancers is desirable but not required. As one of our Senior Investigators you will be co-principal investigator of individual trials, and leader within the CCTG program and the CCTG scientific committees. Senior Investigators also have Faculty appointments at Queen’s University.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    • MD or PhD.
    • MD candidates should have specialty qualifications in an oncology related discipline (medical oncology, radiation oncology, surgical oncology, hematology).
    • Graduate or fellowship training in a relevant field, for example, clinical epidemiology, clinical pharmacology, clinical trials, is preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a relevant field.
    • Meet criteria for appointment to an appropriate Department at Queen’s University.

    The Department of Oncology at Windsor Regional Hospital along with the Windsor Regional Cancer Program is currently recruiting for a full time Medical Oncologist to join its dynamic multidisciplinary team of Oncologists, Hematologists, Nursing and Allied Health Staff. The successful applicant will provide consultative services and work in collaboration with a group of 12 Medical Oncologists/Hematologists and 6 Radiation Oncologists. Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology and Hematology services are well established and there is a 22 bed In-Patient Oncology Unit with NP support for inpatient on-call work. This position also provides opportunities for teaching, involvement in Schulich School of Medicine curriculum, and adjunct and tenure track academic advancement and clinical research.

    The Division of Medical Oncology in the Department of Oncology, Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University, and Hamilton Health Sciences are seeking an exceptional candidate committed to pursuing a fulltime academic career in Medical Oncology. This individual should have an interest in treating central nervous system malignancies as well as contributing to clinical service / research activities in a second disease site. The CNS Disease Site Team is a dynamic multidisciplinary group with representation from neurosurgery, radiation oncology, medical oncology, neuro-oncology and specialized oncology nursing. The successful candidate would be expected to take on a leadership role within the relevant Juravinski Cancer Centre (JCC) Disease Site Groups and to develop research and / or educational activities within the Department of Oncology. Candidates would also be expected to participate in the medical oncology on call roster and the ward consultation service for Hamilton Health Sciences Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre. A hospitalist program as MRP exists for the daily management of oncology inpatients.
