The successful candidate must be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor at the University of Toronto.     Health PEI is currently seeking a Hematologic Oncologist or a Medical Oncologist, with a strong interest in hematologic oncology, to join a multidisciplinary oncology team.

    The Prince Edward Island Cancer Treatment Centre is a small but modern medical and radiation oncology facility attached to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown. Services are also provided at a satellite centre in Summerside.

    The successful candidate must have certification, or be deemed eligible for certification, by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada; and eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of PEI.

    BC Cancer Kelowna operates a satellite clinic in Kamloops. We are looking for a Medical Oncologist to join our well established team of 3 Medical Oncologists. This clinic offers cutting edge therapy in a personalized practice environment. Additionally the Kamloops clinic has support from general practitioners specially trained in oncology and chemotherapy delivery. As part of BC Cancer and Interior Health Authority, medical staff have provincial tumour group support and tumour board conferences are available for case discussions. In the near future, clinical trials enrollment will be supported at the Kamloops site, increasing research and care opportunities.

    The Saskatchewan Cancer Agency provides leadership in health promotion, early detection, treatment and research for cancer. The Cancer Agency operates two treatment centres: the Allan Blair Cancer Centre in Regina and the Saskatoon Cancer Centre.

    Job Duties
    Cancer Agency medical oncologists provide care as members of teams, which include nurses, pharmacists, radiation therapists, oncologists, clinical associates, general practitioners in oncology, surgeons, social workers, volunteers, patient advisors, and palliative care staff. Cancer care is extended to surrounding communities through the Community Oncology Program of Saskatchewan. Oncologists are supported by clinical associates for inpatient and on-call responsibilities. Participation on clinical trials in collaboration with cooperative groups and industry is a major focus of activity for our oncologists. They are members of cooperative clinical trial groups as Alliance, NCIC CTG, and NRG. Oncologists are also involved in teaching medical students and residents.

    The Division of Medical Oncology in the Department of Oncology, Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University, and Hamilton Health Sciences are seeking an exceptional candidate committed to pursuing a fulltime academic career in Medical Oncology. This individual should have an interest in treating central nervous system malignancies as well as contributing to clinical service / research activities in a second disease site. The CNS Disease Site Team is a dynamic multidisciplinary group with representation from neurosurgery, radiation oncology, medical oncology, neuro-oncology and specialized oncology nursing. The successful candidate would be expected to take on a leadership role within the relevant Juravinski Cancer Centre (JCC) Disease Site Groups and to develop research and / or educational activities within the Department of Oncology. Candidates would also be expected to participate in the medical oncology on call roster and the ward consultation service for Hamilton Health Sciences Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre. A hospitalist program as MRP exists for the daily management of oncology inpatients.

    Population Base: The population of Saskatchewan is 1.16 million. The Allan Blair Cancer Centre provides comprehensive cancer care to those living in the southern part of the province.
