    The Saskatchewan Cancer Agency provides leadership in health promotion, early detection, treatment and research for cancer. The Cancer Agency operates two treatment centres: the Allan Blair Cancer Centre in Regina and the Saskatoon Cancer Centre.

    Job Duties
    Cancer Agency medical oncologists provide care as members of teams, which include nurses, pharmacists, radiation therapists, oncologists, clinical associates, general practitioners in oncology, surgeons, social workers, volunteers, patient advisors, and palliative care staff. Cancer care is extended to surrounding communities through the Community Oncology Program of Saskatchewan. Oncologists are supported by clinical associates for inpatient and on-call responsibilities. Participation on clinical trials in collaboration with cooperative groups and industry is a major focus of activity for our oncologists. They are members of cooperative clinical trial groups as Alliance, NCIC CTG, and NRG. Oncologists are also involved in teaching medical students and residents.

    Cambridge Memorial Hospital (CMH) along with Grand River Regional Cancer Centre/Waterloo Wellington (GRRCC) is currently recruiting for locum tenens coverage for a 1.0 equivalent (FTE) Alternate Payment plan (APP) Medical Oncology position.

    Certification in Medical Oncology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and eligibility for independent licensure in the Province of Ontario are required. The successful applicant must also obtain and maintain privileges at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, Grand River Hospital and other associated hospitals in the region as required.

    Grey Bruce Health Services (GBHS) Cancer Centre is seeking a permanent full time board-certified Medical Oncologist to join our existing team of two Medical Oncologists/Hematologists and experienced Nurse Practitioner.

    GBHS operates six hospitals in the Grey Bruce region with its Level 2 regional referral hospital located in the City of Owen Sound.  A full range of specialty services are offered through the Departments of Anaesthesia, Diagnostic Imaging, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Oncology, Hospitalist Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pathology, Paediatrics, Psychiatry and Surgery (ENT, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Urology).     BC Cancer is looking for a full time Medical Oncologist to join our experienced team of two Medical Oncologists and three General Practitioners in Oncology at the McMurtry-Baerg Cancer Centre in Vernon.

    Eligible applicants have obtained Fellowship standing with the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine, and have obtained or are working towards a certificate of Special Competence in Medical Oncology.  Applicants must also be eligible for licensing with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of British Columbia and meet the requirements of credentialing by the Medical Advisory Committee of the BC Cancer.  In addition, applicants must be eligible for a clinical appointment in the Division of Medical Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia and for appointment to the Medical Staff at Vernon Jubilee Hospital.

    The Division of Medical Oncology in the Department of Oncology, Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University, and Hamilton Health Sciences are seeking an exceptional candidate committed to pursuing a fulltime academic career in Medical Oncology. This individual should have an interest in treating central nervous system malignancies as well as contributing to clinical service / research activities in a second disease site. The CNS Disease Site Team is a dynamic multidisciplinary group with representation from neurosurgery, radiation oncology, medical oncology, neuro-oncology and specialized oncology nursing. The successful candidate would be expected to take on a leadership role within the relevant Juravinski Cancer Centre (JCC) Disease Site Groups and to develop research and / or educational activities within the Department of Oncology. Candidates would also be expected to participate in the medical oncology on call roster and the ward consultation service for Hamilton Health Sciences Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre. A hospitalist program as MRP exists for the daily management of oncology inpatients.

    Health PEI is currently seeking a Hematologic Oncologist or a Medical Oncologist, with a strong interest in hematologic oncology, to join a multidisciplinary oncology team.

    The Prince Edward Island Cancer Treatment Centre is a small but modern medical and radiation oncology facility attached to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown. Services are also provided at a satellite centre in Summerside.

    The successful candidate must have certification, or be deemed eligible for certification, by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada; and eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of PEI.
