    BC Cancer – Vancouver is the largest treatment facility within BC Cancer and works in close collaboration with the BC Cancer Research Institute (BCCRI) and Vancouver General Hospital (VGH), both of which are in close proximity. Our department has a current staff of 32 Medical Oncologists. The department has a longstanding reputation for clinical excellence and academia. Vancouver Cancer Centre is a full service cancer centre with strong radiation oncology, surgical oncology, diagnostic imaging, pathology, oral oncology, supportive care, functional imaging services, an inpatient service and clinical trials unit.

    The Saskatchewan Cancer Agency provides leadership in health promotion, early detection, treatment and research for cancer. The Cancer Agency operates two treatment centres: the Allan Blair Cancer Centre in Regina and the Saskatoon Cancer Centre.

    Job Duties:
    Our medical oncologists provide care as members of teams, which include nurses, pharmacists, radiation therapists, oncologists, surgeons, social workers, volunteers and palliative care staff. Cancer care is extended to surrounding communities through the Community Oncology Program of Saskatchewan. Participation on clinical trials in collaboration with cooperative groups and industry is a major focus of activity for our oncologists. They are members of cooperative clinical trial groups as Alliance, NCIC CTG, and NRG. Our oncologists are also involved in teaching medical students and residents.

    The Canadian Cancer Trials Group at Queen’s University invites applications for a tenured faculty position at the rank of Associate or Full Professor with a specialization that falls within oncology. We are seeking an outstanding and visionary cancer trialist for the position of Senior Investigator (SI) with CCTG. Interest/expertise in the areas of investigational experimental cancer therapeutics, translational laboratory research focused on clinical evaluation of treatment biomarkers, patient focused research in the areas of symptom science or health equity, or data science/artificial intelligence is of interest. Expertise in cancer clinical trial methods and conduct is required. As a CCTG Senior Investigator you will be co-principal investigator of individual trials, and leader within the CCTG program and the CCTG scientific committees developing and leading trials and related research. Exceptional candidates at the rank of Assistant Professor may be considered for a tenure-track position.     BC Cancer is looking for a full time or part time Medical Oncologist to join our experienced team of three Medical Oncologists and three FTE General Practitioners in Oncology at the McMurtry-Baerg Cancer Centre in Vernon, British Columbia.  Vernon is a community of approximately 69,000 people, located in the Okanagan Valley near the Northern end of Lake Okanagan, and at the northern end of Kalamalka Lake.  Vernon’s McMurtry-Baerg Cancer Centre is a fully staffed outpatient clinic housed in the Interior Health Authority’s Vernon Jubilee Hospital, a 205 bed Regional hospital offering on-site Radiology, Pathology, Surgery and Pharmacy services.  The Cancer Centre is part of BC Cancer and Interior Health’s Community Oncology Network, and serves a number of local communities with a catchment area of approximately 100,000.  The Centre receives approximately 450 new consults and 7000 follow-ups a year, providing those patients a full range of outpatient IV and oral systemic therapies in a personalized practice environment.
