Horizon Health Network is seeking a full-time Medical Oncologist to join the Department of Oncology at Saint John Regional Hospital, the principal tertiary-care referral centre for southern New Brunswick and Atlantic Canada's leading centre for advanced care.
The Department of Oncology at the Saint John Regional Hospital is seeking an interested candidate to complete the complement of seven (7) Medical Oncologists, alongside seven Radiation Oncologists, four Hematologists and 3 Clinical Assistants. We are seeking a candidate with interest in treating gastrointestinal (GI) And genitourinary (GU) malignancies. Openness to incorporating the breast disease site would be considered an asset.
Who you are
Applicants must:
- Hold an MD degree (or equivalent)
- Royal College Certification in Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification in Medical Oncology or equivalent is required
- Be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick
- Proficiency in English is required.
- Possess strong communication and teamwork skills
- Good attendance and work record.
- Physically able to perform assigned duties.
- Be committed to teaching, quality assurance, and continuous professional development.
The physician must also meet continuing education requirements, adhere to departmental and health authority policies, comply with relevant legislation, and follow professional ethical standards set by regulatory bodies.
