Academic Medical Oncologist (Breast/Gynecology)

The Department of Medicine and the Division of Medical Oncology at the University of Ottawa and The Ottawa Hospital is looking for an academic Medical Oncologist to join a group of 28 academic physicians.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will function as an academic physician. This position will consist of a 0.7 full-time practice treating breast malignancies as a major site and gynecological malignancies as a minor site.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate must hold a MD degree; be a member of, or be eligible to be a member of, the Canadian Medical Protective Association; have, or be eligible for certification in Medical Oncology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and have, or be eligible for, licensure in Ontario; and, be eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Medicine at the rank of Lecturer or higher. Applicants must demonstrate specialized training and/or significant experience in managing breast cancer malignancies. Preference will be given to candidates with a higher degree (Masters, PhD), or specialist fellowship training.

The University of Ottawa and The Ottawa Hospital are bilingual institutions and therefore in the case of potentially successful candidates of equal ability, a bilingual (French/English) candidate would be preferred.
