    The Department of Oncology, Cancer Care Alberta, Division of Medical Oncology at the Cross Cancer Institute (CCI), with Alberta Health Services is accepting applications for a full-time Hematologist/Medical Oncologist with expertise/training in management of lymphoma and myeloma with a target start date of October 1, 2024.

    This position is based at the Cross Cancer Institute (CCI) in Edmonton. The successful applicant will join a team of multidisciplinary cancer programs and a team of Medical and Radiation Oncologists, Nurse Practitioners and other medical support staff in the Edmonton and North zones.

The successful applicant will become a member of a multidisciplinary cancer program located at the Grande Prairie Cancer Centre in Grande Prairie, Alberta, and will join a team of Medical and Radiation Oncologists, Nurse Practitioners and medical support staff working in the North Zone.

    Responsibilities will include participation in ambulatory clinics and other responsibilities will include participation in local and provincial tumour team-based activities including clinical case reviews at tumour board rounds, annual, provincial tumour team meetings and local quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives.

    Qualifications include an MD and eligibility for Hematologist licensure in the Province of Alberta.

    BC Cancer is looking for a full time or part time Medical Oncologist to join our experienced team of three Medical Oncologists and three FTE General Practitioners in Oncology at the McMurtry-Baerg Cancer Centre in Vernon, British Columbia.

    Eligible applicants have obtained Fellowship standing with the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine, and have obtained or are working towards a certificate of Special Competence in Medical Oncology.  Applicants must also be eligible for licensing with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of British Columbia and meet the requirements of credentialing by the Medical Advisory Committee of the BC Cancer.  In addition, applicants must be eligible for a clinical appointment in the Division of Medical Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia and for appointment to the Medical Staff at Vernon Jubilee Hospital.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Diploma from an approved school of medicine supplemented by post-graduate study in the area of specialization (Oncology);
    • Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certificate (FRCPC);
    • Eligible for a licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New-Brunswick;
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
    • Physical ability to perform the assigned work;
